Climbing Mt. Washburn

Since it is summer and there is a chance to climb a mountain and there are great views to be had. . .and it is wonderful to be outside, we took the more gradual path from the north to climb Mt. Washburn.  It was only about 3 miles each way - and quite a wonderful view from the top.

There is a weather station - and the main road used to go over Mt. Washburn, back with the Model Ts would have to go in reverse because that was the only gear low enough to make the steep grade.

After a long stretch up the hot road, we passed some snowbanks and the summit was in sight.
