Halloween Dress-Up

Rania and Gabi had the ISKL dress-up day for school - where they dressed up to go to school.  Great pictures. It is Twister and "You don't know.  Holy Guacamole!" Cute picture before starting the day.

GAP in Nepal

Reeve had the opportunity to visit Nepal with his GAP trip (Global Action Program).  He had an amazing time, with a combination of great hiking, service (building for an orphanage) and getting to know some great friends.  Rather than a day-by-day itinerary, which only Reeve would be able to best provide, here are the pictures from his amazing trip.

Bangkok - ELC 2017

The EARCOS Leadership Conference was held in Bangkok this year.  Some incredible presenters, as always - and very inspiring and challenging.  What a privilege to get to attend and grow professionally, while collaborating and working with others.

Agency Pose

Doug and Peter Casey, the MS Principal, get ready for a promo regarding student agency - and a bit of a pose to try and play off the "secret agent" theme of promoting student agency - the drive and capacity to take initiative.

Deepavali

After church, during our normal routine of walking from Lot 10 to the Pavilion, we saw the Deepavali decorations at the mall.

Friends

What a fun picture with Sophia - one of Rania's friends as they enjoy some fun in the park  - and getting some cute shots.

Times Square

They had a pretty cool musical stairway in Times Square - and with the psychedelic floor tiles, it was a cool place to play as we made our way back to the car.

Times Square Amusement Park

Our kids might be mostly outgrowing many of the rides at Times Square. . .but it never ceases to baffle the mind to have an indoor amusement park.  The roller coaster is fun - and the girls, met by the Nelsons, had a fun time riding the rides.

Gold Class

We took advantage of an evening during Fall Break to go see a movie in Gold Class.  I think it was Geostorm - not terribly recommended, but lots of comfy seats and lots of destruction of miniature landscapes.

A Pose

Not really sure the story here - but playing with a mask - and getting a photo.  I'm sure this will be a classic much appreciated a decade from now.

Juvy's Birthday

Celebrating Juvy's birthday, an amazing woman who does so much for us.  A stop at the bakery resulted in some yummy treats for all.

Rania Soccer

Fun to catch some more of Rania's soccer performances - and the fun the girls are having being a part of the team.  Playing on a U-13 team with all 6th graders makes it challenging to compete against teams and players that are a full year older - and mostly in 7th grade.  Nevertheless, the girls are staying positive.

Adaptive Schools

On the final day of the Adaptive Schools seminar, we got a group shot of the cohort.  It was a privilege to get to co-present and slowly grow in confidence as part of the content and facilitator moves that go into this imp
actful content.

Mumbai

An Antique Shop
Doug flew to Mumbai where he co-presented an Adaptive Schools seminar with Dr. Ochan Powell and Fiona Reynolds, the acting head of school at ASB - the American School of Mumbai.  We had a chance to go downtown, visiting some of the antique shops in Mumbai - and getting an additional dose of the challenging traffic in Mumbai.

Newsboys

As part of an after-school activity, short-and-sweet, Rania performed a Newsboys rendition at the middle school assembly. Wow!  With the Beauty and the Beast high school set as a backdrop, it was one of the more impressive performances we've seen at an assembly.  So proud of Rania being a part!

Fire & Grill

We had a delicious Sunday lunch at a relatively new restaurant at Pavilion - Fire & Grill.  Nice views and yummy fruit shakes. A good way to spend our Sunday after church.
