Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday.  He is Risen!

At church we had an Easter egg hunt and we managed to get a family picture.  And all that before we headed over to Doug's parents house for Easter dinner in the afternoon.

SMARTBoard

After Gabi's presentation, we had the opportunity to drop into Rania's class. How totally fun to catch her as the "special helper" who was helping with the counting exercise on the SMARTBoard.

It was a special benefit just to see how happy she was in class. What a great year she is having!

Gabi's Songs - Save the Turtles

It was so fun to watch Gabi's songs and listen to her performance.

Enjoy!
(We'll have to add the videos soon.)

Save the Turtles - No Plastic Bags!

Gabi did a presentation as part of the Grade 3 unit on endangered species for parents.  Gabi's class did some neat things reminding us not to use plastic bags to help turtles.

The presentation was lots of fun and we sure enjoyed the privilege of watching Gabi act, sing and present.   She sure is having a great year in Grade 1!

Reeve's Birthday

As a family we had a fun day celebrating Reeve's birthday!  It sure was lots of fun to see him having a great time with his sisters.  It was his choice on how to spend the big day, and he decided to head off to Times Square, a large mall in Kuala Lumpur that has an indoor amusement park.

For the first time, both Gabi and Reeve were big enough to go on some of the "bigger" rides, so they spent a lot of time going on Dizzy Izzy and spinning around and around.  After Times Square, we made our way to TGIFriday's where Reeve wanted to have his birthday dinner.

A few pictures show the fun, and we decided to make a movie trailer commemorating the big event.

When he has some friends return from Spring Break, he will have them over for a sleepover.

Maxim's Birthday

For Spring Break, we were delighted to have our good friends, the Fullertons, come and visit us for the first few days.  Brent was eager to get the kids out climbing, and we spent nearly two full days on the climbing wall -- which was a great experience for our kids.   Gabi and Reeve got up on a couple of routes and we largely had the place to ourselves on Friday, though Saturday there were more local climbing groups that were enjoying the climbs.

For a special treat, all of us went to see Hop, the movie about a fictional Easter Bunny, in Gold Class.  The kids were quite enjoying the huge seats and the delivery of the popcorn during the movie.

Though Rania did not do any climbing, she sure was a hit playing with a lot of the locals who were waiting their turns on the wall.  She made up all sorts of games with adults and kids. It sure was a lot of fun and great to have the Fullerton's in our back yard for a few days!
