Colorfest!

One of the fun traditions, hosted by the student council in middle school, is Colorfest.  Make sure you keep your eyes closed - and enjoy getting some fun colors with your (originally) white T-shirt.  Rania and several of her friends had a really great time. 

Star Wars: Solo

Movie day!  Fun to go catch the Solo movie and enjoy some popcorn and some fun action-movie sequences.  Clearly, not quite the Harrison Ford Han Solo - but we'll take it and enjoy some action and last minute plot twists.

MS Semi-Formal

Wow!  The one time that both of our daughters will go together to the MS Semi-Formal.  Such gorgeous, positive, wonderful girls. So proud.  Fun to get a picture of the two of them as Gabi goes to her last MS Semi-Formal / student party - and Rania goes to the first Semi-Formal and the final one of 6th grade. 

Doug's Cameo Dance Performance

Doug got to play his best type-cast role - the role of the geeky, nerdy teacher who tries to separate the two dance groups in the big dance off!

Not sure if the link  to the Assembly Performance will be visible from outside of ISKL - but some good, fun dance action from the Grade 8 Dance Combo group.

As part of the Grade 6 Band, Rania got to perform.  So impressive to hear the progress over the course of the year.

Spring Concerts

Rania played in the Band Concert - and on the next night, there was a Strings and Choir concert - where you cannot catch any of our kids - but can catch Doug's final thank you at the end of this impressive video. 

At School

Not sure if this photo has the correct time-stamp, but the general welcoming of students in the mornings - a good tradition to get the school day off to a positive start (and catch a couple of questions / issues if needed).

Always fun to catch shots of Gabi having so much fun with her good friends. 

Horse Riding

Thanks to the initiative of Wen Li, Reeve's friend, we went horseback riding up near Genting.  Ironically, Reeve had other commitments (cannot quite remember what) - but the rest of us enjoyed a morning of horse riding.  Unfortunately, the main trails had been wiped out with a recent landslide, so we spent more of the ride on the road - and down to a training area not far from the stables. 

Gabi's Breakfast

Let's just say that my breakfast doesn't look like this.  Gabi captured this for her morning breakfast - enjoying a meal outside on our patio table.  Quite the elegant composition - and yummy taste.

A Chocolate Morning

For a Saturday morning, this is the typical view and enjoyment for our dear dog, Chocolate.  The girls also get some more time on Saturdays to get to hang out with Chocolate and give her more attention.  Somehow, it looks more picturesque when viewed through some of our plants!

Rainbow

For some reason, it is quite rare to get rainbows - not sure if it is the super heavy rains or the direct sunlight from the tropics - or something that we should just google to figure out.  But we did have a rainbow sighting over the ISKL campus - which is always a glimpse of beauty into our days. 

First Class Travel!

Since the return trip was fully booked at the right time for the lower level - and the first class tickets are just a bit more, we enjoyed the upper deck as part of the vastly improved ferry system to and from Tioman.  What a huge relief to have that reliability and quality service on an excellent boat.  A nice, relaxing return trip, for sure!

Departure Morning

 

Before catching our morning ferry back to the mainland, there were a couple of opportunities to enjoy the final bits of a relaxing getaway.  It truly is impressive when, with four days, you can get away and enjoy some significant beauty, have some fabulous experiences, and connect together as a family out of the reach of much of the modern world.
