Amazingly enough, we were able to have a fun night, courtesy of our friends, the Inskeeps. They were being inducted in a black tie function at a local club that is reminiscent of the colonial era of British Malaysia. 
We enjoyed a delicious dinner and interesting ceremony as Brian and Brenda became members of a local club. Afterwards, they insisted that we crash an 80s party. We weren't quite dressed in the 80s attire, but did manage to claim that tuxes are timeless -- or James Bond was part of the 80s. . .or some other excuse to be 80-like.
