Climbing the Petronas Towers

"gowing too petronas Towers and i LIKE IT BKUS I WIT too skybridge"

("Going to Petronas Towers and I like it because I went to skybridge." Reeve wanted to add to our blog and do it himself, which he patiently did for the last 20 minutes.)

Basically, that tells the story -- but on Friday evening, our family went to the Petronas Towers and got tickets to go up to the skybridge. It has a good view of the city and looks down on the large downtown park where we have often been.

Thanks to Grandpa Woodward (Doug's dad) and Grandma Ramona (Doug's grandma, who went downtown at 8:00 am and waited in line for an hour to get the free tickets, we had a 5:15 appointment to go up the Skybridge.

We enjoyed watching a short 3-D video telling about how Petronas (the gas and oil company) is making the world a better place, and a little bit about how the towers were built. After only 10 minutes up on the bridge (too short!) we came back down and enjoyed a delicious Thai meal in the large KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre) mall. The mango chicken was so delicious that after gobbling up one plate, we ordered another and Reeve even decided we should go back there sometime!

We then walked through the park as part of our many (mostly fruitless) attempts to get a Christmas card picture. Now we'll just have to see if we can get the Christmas letter together before March!

(You can also see a picture of Reeve with grandpa at his holiday concert at school. Reeve did great!)
