Versailles

We again took the train out to Versailles and could not believe the massive palace we had to visit.  The organization was incredible, with guided tours for everyone as part of the admission.  It moved us from room to room and we learned a lot about some of the incredible history of the palace.

On the one hand, we were sure glad we were visiting in low season - because it would be hard to imagine the massive crowds during a normal summer day.  On the other hand, the cold weather made the gardens not worth visiting, and we never made our way over to the other set of palaces of Marie Antoinette - which would be quite a hike in cold weather.

The Hall of Mirrors was a definite highlight - imagine being in a place full of so much history.
