Indianapolis

We made a short, but productive dash to Indianapolis to get our belongings out of storage.   We had the privilege of enjoying the Vanests' hospitality and some fun time talking and being with their amazing family.  It was good to see them, and we even attempted to resurrect a "Supper Club" reunion -- from when we would get together about every quarter for dinner from five families -- a remnant of our survival mechanisms from student teaching when we were in Indianapolis back in the fall of 1991!

It was so great to see Jeannette and catch up over the past four years.  Unfortunately, the supper club didn't have super high participation as Forrest was away with his kids at a church camp and the Days came down with fever at the last moment.   But still it was fun to reminisce and hear about events in Indianapolis.

We also made it to the Indianapolis Public Library -- the Downtown branch for the first time.  It was finished after our departure from Indianapolis and we had not had the privilege of seeing the inspiring and stunning architecture of the main library.
