To Mirror Lake

We made our way on the short hike from where we had parked to Mirror Lake. . .of course, the lake isn't stopped any more, so there isn't the perfect lake. . .and with low water, there isn't much of a lake at all.

Upon arrival, we found some deer walking right by where we were. . . and looked for a place for the ceremony and some time together.

It was a pretty good place for some to run up the rock and get a picture taken.

It certainly is evident how low the water is, and a good reminder of how beautiful the valley is, and the clarity of the bright blue skies.

Seeing how easy it is to play in the Merced River flowing through the river - and even create a rock pile right in the middle.  The multi-year drought and its effects are pretty obvious in the middle of summer.
