Fireworks!

With Maumee / Perrysburg continuing the July 3 tradition of fireworks to not compete with Toledo's downtown July 4 event, we headed off on a bit of an adventure, trying to walk from Jason and Nicole's  along the water to the bridge.

Without a doubt, it was a bit longer than we anticipated - and it was also about as good a view as can be imagined! 

We ended up right under the bridge getting to see the fireworks - with such clarity that the lights would illuminate our faces with each pop and burst.  Jason had left a car downtown - so some of the kids were able to jump in and head home, while the rest of us walked (as there ended up being more than anticipated).  A good evening - and somehow, we managed to avoid the thunderstorms that seemed to be right nearby - but never on us.
