Day Hike

It was a great start to the day with a chance to relax before setting off on our day hike. 

 

For our layover day, we decided to see if we could make it to the ridge between South Sister & Broken Top and look down into Green Lakes.  As we approached the trail, we encountered more and more snow and eventually it became a bit too dicey for Rania and her tennis shoes.  Reeve was dauntless and continued with Auntie Tasha and Rendall and they had a longer hike than the rest of us. 

As we came back, Rania earned her name as Cartwheel girl, doing some cartwheels in the scenic meadows around Golden Lake. 

While clouds accumulated and it threatened to rain, all we ended up with were a few sprinkles.
