A Woodward Christmas

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2008

It was very nice that the Sultan's birthday fell on a day when we could have a family Christmas celebration. Grandma made her amazing Christmas dinner -- delicious ham, twice-baked potatoes, frozen fruit salad, and the 4-layered dessert. Yum, Yum, Yum!

The kids were very excited to open their presents, though Rania was more excited about her brother's Ben-10 gifts. Can't quite get used to a 2 year old girl talking about "Dark Vader" and "Upgrade" and "Me like Yoda."

when alaina was about 3 or 4, she watched ben-10 and really like it. she used to walk around "holding" ben-10's hand - he was ALWAYS here with her. i think she had a crush on him. :)

December 20

Looking at your early Christmas party pics and see that the grandfolk are off to a wonderful place on Christmas Day. We send you greetings from a very cold and icy Indiana. Our last day of the semester was to be Friday, but a major sleet and ice storm caused the cancellation of the last day of Finals. Yippee! This is our long Christmas Break (we teachers return January 5). We are all doing well here. Harrison is 5.5 and quite a little boy now. He is in his second year of pre-school. Shelley keeps us all in line and organized. She will end her job with the East Central Conference December 31. When Harrison begins K-garten full day she will venture back into the job market. This is my 18th year at WN. Things have changed dramatically with a major building program completed and new faces and new curriculum. We are scheduled to fly to Australia June 9 and am really looking forward to seeing family and friends there in Melbourne area. Also will fly to Perth, since this is where Shelley's brother is now located. Glad to have employent here as the county unemployment rate is 12.4 percent. Have fun readling this long flowing paragraph of condensed data.

Merry Christmas from Shelley, Brent, and Harrison
