 To start the second semester, some wonderful views of our spectacular campus.

Sense of Peace

 

Flying out of LA, there was such a sense of peace after saying Goodbye to dad.  There was a large bank of clouds, and then suddenly up above the clouds with the sun on the horizon.  A glimpse of the glory of heaven compared with the poor visibility and heavy weather within and below the clouds.  

Definitely a tearful moment - and filled with a sense of gratitude and peace.

 

Ohio Departures

 It was wonderful to get to visit Ohio for Tracy, Reeve, Gabi and Rania.  It was also time to say goodbye and return to Malaysia after spending the holidays there.

Sad Goodbyes

It wasn't a great day for dad - what a difference 24 hours can make - so it was some sad goodbyes - including holding the phone so those in Ohio - Tracy, Gabi, Rania, Reeve could give greetings to dad.  

So so thankful for all that dad has done in my life and such an incredible legacy. 

 

Upstairs at Friendsview

 Got to head over with dad for another meal in the final days before heading back to Malaysia. What a blessing to get to spend so much time together over the holidays.

Visit from Uncle Ray

 Uncle Ray was trucking through Oregon and got to come and visit, joining us upstairs at Friendsview for dinner.  Always wonderful to see Uncle Ray - and great that dad was able to come upstairs.  Even notice the chocolate birthday cake to celebrate this day for a special uncle. 

Lunch With Dad

 Great to get to join dad for lunch during the day.  Every day is precious, and good to be able to join him in his room and spend much of each day with him.  

He is napping a lot and still great to see the smiles and enjoy some ice cream!

Connecting from Across Oceans

How wonderful to have the hospitality of Jamie Reiser and Scott Muir for a wonderful evening in Portland.  Their home is truly beautiful and what a delight to get to be there to start the 2020 year.
