Photos in the Park

A beautiful, sunny day.  A park right next door.  Two girls eager for some instagram or snapchat pictures. . .but needing someone to take some pictures.  Here are a couple of the still shots from a fun chance to get some pictures.   The pictures are especially wonderful when you are starting to celebrate Christmas Break!

Recreational Soccer

As part of recreational soccer, Rania has signed up for one-day a week after school during the second trimester.  It is a good chance to practice, improve some skills and have fun with friends.

24-hour Race

Reeve was part of a team that participated in the Habitat for Humanity twenty-four hour race.  Working in teams they keep running for an entire twenty-four hours.  His team was among the medal winners - and impressive work for a good cause.

A great chance to celebrate with cake, delicious food and good times for a very, very, very special young woman.

Sunway Lagoon

The 8th grade students, including the teachers and necessary chaperones (oh, that's Doug!) got to go on the physics and motion field trip to Sunway Lagoon.  The morning is spent conducting physics experiments and collecting data, while the afternoon is fun in the water park.  There were some new rides which I hadn't seen, so that was fun to participate and get to enjoy a great day of "school." Gabi also had lots of fun. . .though she is better at hiding from the camera!

Ice Skating

Yes, even the tropics, we found a way to enjoy some ice skating.  We hadn't been to this, smaller rink, but managed to find it and had a good time ice skating.  Given the heat and the many people celebrating the long weekend, it was a wet rink - but good to practice ice skating after a few years. 

And how great for a birthday celebration!

TGIF

For lunch, as part of our birthday festivities, we went to TGIF for some delicious food and an ice-skating break.
