Senior Night for Basketball

 Disappointing that covid basically cancelled all of Gabi's basketball career, including IASAS for her junior and senior years.  Now that she is gone, many of her good friends from the basketball team finally get to have a season.  Congrats to Jess, Vrinda, Georgia and all of the team!

At School

 Rania and her friends enjoying a Thursday at school.  So grateful for the amazing friends that Rania has. 

IFSEL & Tamarind Springs

 With Nick and Joe in town with IFSEL, we had a great visit getting to learn about Open Session.  For the evening, thanks to Azra's coordination, we had a delightful dinner at Tamarind Springs. Not the best picture (at all!) and a good memory.

Marcus & Velle

 

 With Chinese New Year approaching, Marcus, a good friend from high school, and his family, who all live in Singapore, were in KL visiting Velle's family.  It was great to spend much of the day with them, getting to go to lunch before Marcus came over to our house for the afternoon. What fun reunions!

 We get some pictures from Gabi at Notre Dame.  I think this is at the men's basketball game v. Florida State.  Unfortunately, the men's team isn't doing nearly as well as the women's team thus far this year.

What a great break we've had - and now that Rania, Doug and Tracy have already returned to school, it is time for Gabi, and Reeve (and Cameron and Zion. . .and soon Marilyn) to return to school. 

That makes for a good time for some family and group pictures. 

Sisters Together

 Nice for Gabi and Rania to get a final coffee shop visit and time together before Gabi's return to university. 

Clear Skies

 Another stunning view from the MS balcony.  What a great way to start the day, and always a great way to see the beauty around while making my way to many homegroups each morning. 

That's a big ice cream!

 This has to be one of the tallest ice creams imaginable.  Every time we go by this place at the entrance of Lot 10, it is so impressive.  The yummy taste is also quite a treat - so Gabi got to enjoy some of that fun. 

By the time we made it to the elevator to head back to our car, Gabi had made a good dent in the ice cream!

That's a big coffee!

 After church, we went to the Pavilion, where Gabi got quite the funny picture with some coffee.  Let's just say that her first year of university has certainly contributed to a large intake of coffee.  The decorations outside the Pavilion are also indicative of the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations in Malaysia.

After the Fact - Visitors

 The surgery went very well, and good to get to spend much of the day with Tracy.  She even had some visitors (yea for family!) who came to see her.

 With Tracy getting ready for a preventative surgery, it was time to check-in.  She has quite the nice room and Prince Court Medical Centre always does such a fabulous job of supporting and helping.  The view from the room isn't too bad either!

Coffee Shop

 Gabi and Rania enjoying break at a local coffee shop.  Complete with the Be Real image from the day, I do believe.  Good to see them enjoying each other's company. 

ND Swag

 Nice to get a quick photo op with some of the swag that Gabi brought back as Christmas presents from Notre Dame.  Looking good!

Mctigue Visit

 Nice to have future teachers coming to visit from JIS.  We're thrilled to welcome the Mctigue family to ISKL in the near future! 

Din Tai Fung Lunch

 For New Year's, we took Cameron and Zion to Din Tai Fung, and enjoyed a whole lot of dumplings.  It was a fun meal and a good time to show them one of our favorite restaurants.  Afterwards, the Pavilion had its amazing Chinese New Year decorations, which is a good chance for a family picture.
