We made the short drive from the cottage to the trailhead of Neahkahnie Mountain for a nice hike to the top. The hike up the mountain was absolutely perfect weather, nice and cool in the lush green forests. It was beautiful, and the view from the top was one for the ages. What a spot from which to enjoy a view of the coast to the south. Mom was a bit tentative getting to the top, but we got some great pictures after the scramble up to the summit from the trail a bit below.
