UC Santa Barbara

 Though it wasn't open for tours, we walked around UC Santa Barbara, sending greetings to some of Gabi's teachers, Courtney Cross (and Jake Cross) who are alumni from there.  It was quite a picturesque setting, driving by all the surfers on the way to campus.  Hard to imagine how challenging it could be to get a lot work done, given the pull of the ocean (and the lagoon). 

After the visit, we spend the afternoon and evening on the nice drive north to the Bay Area, in order to see Santa Clara University in the morning.
