Walks About

 Not too terribly exciting, though when doing online school (at least below grades 11), there isn't too much exciting to report.  Here is the view from our corner, not far from our house, between our condo and school. 

Also, a bit of new sidewalk work helps makes things look a bit nicer and newer (though the grass will grow back quickly, we're guessing.)

Snow in Ohio

 A nice picture sent by Aunt Carrie as Reeve contemplates life (or South African history?) while working from Maumee.

A snow angel sure adds to the fun, of course.

Tracy gets to be at School!

 Good reminder to celebrate the blessings we have.  Tracy (and Gabi) get to be on campus with exam-level exemptions.  The IB diploma program comes through for some. 

Dinner

 Well, this is the family dinner.  Gabi has permission (as an exam-level student) to return to school.  Tracy gets to also teach in person, while there is a lot of online action happening at home. Hopefully, more good news soon. 

Return to Ohio

 Reeve had to say goodbye to Hawaii and time to return to Ohio.  January will have some J-term opportunities to avoid a covid spread with the winter spike.  He will stay with Aunt Carrie and Uncle Scot (and Lara and others) before returning to Case.  A study in South African history will be on the agenda for the coming weeks.

Tropical Ice Skating

 Pretty great getting to go to the Melawati ice skating - which is a newer facility - and enjoy a New Year's opportunity to have some cool times on the ice.  Definitely not so skilled - and good to practice, have fun, and enjoy the last of the break. 

Good to have 2020 in the rear view mirror, and hoping for a better, more optimistic 2021!  Nice to also have some things open and able to get out a bit more.

Famous Rail Hike

 Quite the spectacular setting as Tasha took Reeve on one of her favorite hikes.  WHAT VIEWS!  Pretty spectacular.  And. . . Mark has now returned back to DC and grandma decided this one would not be for her. 

No doubt, Tasha (and many others) can give the accurate name of the hike, especially for those of us not fortunate enough to be there :(

Foiled by Flooding

 Well, when there is a difference between what Waze tells you, what the resort tells you and reality.  The main East - West highway to get to Kuantan is totally overrun with flooding.  That means that the Woodwards will be staying home. . . even longer. . .rather than a little getaway now that internal borders between provinces have opened up. 

We did do quite a bit of back roads and some really big jams. . .before finally realizing we need to get back on the road (very empty when heading back to KL) and return home.  

On the Water

 Enjoying some great times on the water.  That is quite the spot for a sunset meal!

Reeve and More Surfing

 Reeve is getting there with some surfing!  More practice (and more sun) don't hurt too much! Of course, tough life, being outdoors, surfing with perfect rainbows in the background. 

Only Reeve can verify if Auntie Tasha's magical filters and photoshop skills are legendary. . .or is Hawaii really that stunning!?!

Reeve & Hawaii New Year

 Reeve had some pretty great ways to start the new year, enjoying Hawaii and with family. The North Shore is pretty special, too!

Pavilion Decorations

 Always a delight to get to be at the Pavilion - and with things more open, we don't want to take too much for granted.  Great decorations, as always!

Hot Pot Noodle Toss

 Quite the video (and skill) for when they deliver the noodles to our hotpot place.  Great way to start the new year!

Baby #3 Ultrasound - Nov 2005

 Here is the second ultrasound for Baby #3, who would become Rania.  Thankfully, things were doing better by this ultrasound, though as always, prayers for a healthy baby and safe delivery always continue.

Digitized Videos - Baby #1 Ultrasound - Nov 2001

 With Google Drive limiting file size for groups (including schools). . .and having old camcorder footage, we're going through some footage and trying to digitize it. Hopefully, some fun memories.  

Here are the first pictures of Reeve from an early ultrasound in November of 2001.  We didn't want to know the gender, but we did want the video, so we spent quite a bit of time watching it with our untrained eyes seeing if we could figure anything out (we couldn't).
