Easter Sunday

We've returned from Spring Break, and before we get back in school, we'll try to catch up on the events of the past two weeks.

We had a delightful Easter Sunday with a wonderful Easter Brunch at our local church -- the pancakes were a huge hit with our kids. After naps, we had a late Easter dinner -- with Doug's parents providing the ham, fruit salad, and the traditional Woodward bunny cake.

After our dinner, the kids set off on the Easter egg hunt -- quickly finding all of the eggs before hiding a few for the adults to find. As the dye was wearing off and getting on clothes, we ended up going with some toy eggs for some of the final egg hunts. Rania's first real Easter egg hunt!

As Doug's parents were off to Nepal and wouldn't be here for Rania's actual birthday, Rania received her first birthday present -- a stunning music box made from Malaysian pewter. Doug's mom has continued the tradition of giving the girls in the family a music box when they are born -- Gabi greatly enjoys hers, often listening to it as she goes to sleep - and now Rania has her own.

In the midst of all the activity, what a great inspiration to proclaim with believers around the globe, "He is risen." "He is risen, indeed."
