Visiting HTBB

In looking at other possibilities, we visited Holy Trinity Bukit Bintang, a church that meets in a facility on the rooftop of Lot 10.  Always a delight to experience great preaching and worship.

ETC - KL

Doug had the chance to attend the EARCOS Leadership Conference, which was hosted in Kuala Lumpur.  As always, there were some really inspiring speakers (Sir Jon), lessons about the power of movement and kinesthetics and great chances to network.

Strangely, the only picture comes from Doug being asked to be the photographer for a Seoul Foreign School reunion.

Halloween Dress Up

Who is the scary person who showed up in the middle school hallways during our Halloween Dress up day on a Friday. One of the great mysteries of Kuala Lumpur is who gets to decide when Halloween is.

It (thankfully) revolves around weekends and sugar consumption rather than a specific calendar date.

Wednesday Means. . .

Okay, it may look like another party, but appearances might be deceiving.  Maybe it is just another badge to be earned.  What a fun opportunity for the girls to get together!

U13 Soccer Tournament

What a fun way to spend a Saturday, and Gabi and her team are having a fun season with Coach Faria as they work to improve and build team spirit.

End of Spirit Week

It is always fun to wrap up Spirit Week.  A great week full of dress-up days, activities during lunch and general middle school craziness.  It all ends with the culminating event on the field - lots of fun and great times for the kids (and adults).

U-11 Basketball

So, so fun to get to watch Rania with U-11 basketball and having super coaches, Coach Suji and Coach Joan.  What a fun environment and the kids are having a wonderful season.

It was nice to be able to head over to Melawati after school and catch a game!

Super Kimi!

It is always a fun tradition in the middle school office to celebrate birthdays, so when Kimi Cain's birthday came along, it was fun to celebrate a real-life super hero in our midst.

Another Girl Scouts Adventure

With it being Wednesday, that means another opportunity for Girl Scouts.  So grateful for Ms. Haddad for sharing pictures, otherwise we wouldn't have too many of our kids during the school year! We're guessing there was either a party or a food-related theme.

International Fest

With amazing food, the dunk tank, friends and oh yea, did I mention the amazing food, it was time to celebrate International Fest, a great annual ISKL tradition!

Gabi, Rania and Bella (and lots of others) enjoyed their chance to be dunked in the tank!

Goodbye Seoul

After a week of incredible professional learning with lots of opportunities for sharing and learning about the school, it was time to say goodbye to Seoul and head back to KL.  One week away from family is long enough!

Theater in Seoul

The high school was putting on a play (Odysseus?) and nice to see a huge, full theater as the students performed for their younger peers during an assembly.

Girl Scouts

Another great opportunity for Gabi to showcase some skills, have some fun and potentially earn some badges in Girl Scouts.

Seoul Foreign School and Accreditation

Doug arrived in Seoul for an accreditation visit.  Knowing there isn't much time outside the school and the hotel, the first day was a chance for a short hike behind the hotel. Great to have some cool weather and beautiful hiking trails.

Day 2 of Trapeze

We got a bit better on the second day, though it was the kids who took the chance to try out their skills. . . and the adults spent more time at the adult-only Zen pool reading books and enjoying some quiet and delightful views.

The view from the Zen pool.

Practicing Trapeze

In the world of "What?" who thought that we would ever be practicing our trapeze skills.  Bella and Susan Shand showed us the way as we took our turns floating high above the Cherating jungle.

Club Med - Arrival

Who knew that we would arrive at Club Med and enjoy the all-inclusive perks from some amazing food and some nice sights at Cherating.  With the Shands there, they were able to show us the ropes.

As expected, there were also lots of sports, including soccer (Reeve), sailing (for later), badminton (Doug was able to hold off Reeve for a bit), and trapeze. . . (continue to see that fun!)
