We are blessed to have a world-class concert hall and a great symphony orchestra in downtown Kuala Lumpur. In a beautiful concert hall, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) has a great variety of performances. I got to go to a Western Theme music, complete with Oklahoma, Bonanza, Lone Ranger, Singing in the Rain, and many Western classics in addition to a 20 minute 1922 silent movie (with live orchestra accompaniment). With a dress code of suit jacket OR long-sleeved batik shirt, my dad and I had a wonderful evening of quality music.
