One of the huge highlights of summers with grandpa and grandma is Grandpa Barrie showing the kids how to fish. With a private, well-stocked pond, many evenings are spent sitting on the perfect grass tossing scraps of food to the fish.

Other evenings and afternoons are spent reeling the fish in. During a recent foray, Reeve and Gabi each caught several fish -- leading to a massively distorted view . . . . where fishing is nearly synonymous with catching.

Almost every cast gets at least a nibble. Seems like our fast-food, have-it-now culture even applies to our kids fishing!
We are certainly enjoying the perfect weather and the picturesque view from the back yard.

you cook those fish up and eat them??
