van Cott Game Night

 Definitely enjoyed an evening together with the van Cotts, who invited some others together for playing some games.  Good fun - and also delicious food.  What a treat!

The guys playing Splendor - a card collection game - was pretty fun! The ladies played some Mahjong. 

 

Horizon Grill Dinner

 Thanks to a gift certificate, Tracy and I enjoyed a meal together at Horizon Grill, one of the rooftop restaurants as part of Banyan Tree.  What a treat - and perfect weather to enjoy their outdoor dining space. 

The mustard selection was a big hit - what tasty (and strong!) options to enjoy with either the chicken or the steak. 

 

Kyle's Visit & Troika SkyDining

 

Kyle Martin is in town to see some of the logistics of the move next year, while Peter is showing him some highlights and some meetings to plan the transfer.  

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner together, with Briana and Zach as well, getting to chat about KL while also seeing a pretty picturesque evening from our balcony table.

 Tracy and Maria had a wonderful meal together with some great sights right next to KLCC. 

 

Big Events

 Gabi and her friends were all dressed up for one of the events hosted by their dorms.  So much fun and great to be with friends. 

 

Phuket Lounge

 As we wrap up a couple of days in Thailand, it is again nice to have the lounge access thanks to Tracy's VentureX card.

A Final Beach Morning

 With Tracy working on her IB qualifications, it has been a pretty chill break - with some reading and a lot of relaxation (as well as pondering all the possibilities for a test paper and what the IB could be thinking in terms of qualification.)

 

Pizza!

 One of our favorite places - with delicious gluten-free pizza is in Khao Lak run by an Italian-American who is from New Jersey and has lived in Thailand for quite some time. 

 

Pickleball

 They now have a pickleball court in a complex across the street which the resort expanded to.  It was great to get to sign up and have an hour of playing pickleball - our first time doing it together.  Certainly hot and sweaty - and also a bit of fun as well. 

 

Breakfast Yumminess

 

The fruit juices are always a highlight when coming to Khao Lak.  The presentation is also pretty special, too. 

 

Dinner

 In town, we enjoyed some delicious Thai food. 

 

Sunset Day 2

 On day two of sunset at Khao Lak, it is pretty spectacular to enjoy the beauty and the calm of the ocean. 

Starting with a bit of a cocktail and snack before watching the sunset and then heading into town for some yummy Thai food. 

 

Beach Morning

 Nice to have a leisurely breakfast and enjoy some time under the cabanas reading books.  The great views of the beach and the lighthouse don't hurt either!
