 So appreciative of Gabi's friends and their families and the chance to have such a great experience and be together for Easter Sunday.

For Easter weekend, Gabi and her friends were en route to Pittsburgh.  Sure looks like fun.

Softball Game

 Fun to cheer Rania and her teammates on during a Saturday softball match. Also wonderful that there is some local competition and clubs that they can play.

 So wonderful to see Rania playing softball.  What a great experience - and quite the game face look for the upcoming IASAS tournament.

Presenter's Forum

 Some good and fun times with the Presenter's Forum, hosted by ISKL.  This Thinking Collaborative experience is quite a great opportunity for educators from all over the world to connect and reconnect.  It was a wonderful time, and Ochan was gracious enough to host everyone at her home on Thursday afternoon / evening.

Dye Party

 Rania and her friends had a blast with some of the dye and the experiences with the shirts and a whole lot of laughter.  What amazing memories and experiences.

Passport Woes

 Unfortunately, a bit of a saga without a very happy ending, though better to be safe.  Rania, when she came back from IASAS Cultural Convention, left her passport in her pants pocket and it went through the washing machine.  

She was scheduled to head out for IASAS exchange for softball, again in Manila (I think), and risking getting stranded with an invalid passport doesn't sound very exciting.  In January, when Doug was getting his passport renewed, he heard a horror story about an ISKL parent who has two kids in middle school.  He had an emergency passport because his passport has gone through the wash and ended up stranded in Singapore for 11 days, as the passport wasn't deemed valid when trying to re-enter Malaysia.  Doesn't seem much worth risking.  It also means that our March break plans - possibly diving in Thailand look like they may be on hold.

 Gabi and her friends safely made it to Florida.  A nice location and should be a great place for the week!

 

St Andrew's Connections

 With Rania out of town for IASAS Dance, and Tracy at IASAS forensics, I went to the early service, and got to connect with Colin and Celina (sp?) from St. Andrew's.  Fun to run into them again, and some great memories from Father Ron and his sermons at St. Andrew's and the role that played in Celina's faith journey. 

Wonderful to hear about their lives and how they are doing. 

And a nice lunch in the Japanese food court at Lot 10 after church.
