Dan Fiegelson's Visit

 Wow!  So much learning from time with Dan Fiegelson about reading workshop.  I've sure learned a lot and enjoyed times together, including Azra generously inviting me to be a part of an evening meal together.

The view from Tracy's window.  Sometimes hard to imagine we have such a beautiful setting.  January is often when we have the bluest skies and some of the most wonderful days, with slightly less humidity. 

We are blessed to have beauty at (nearly) every turn.

Putting Away Christmas Decorations

 Okay, perhaps a bit late, though while family was here, nice to continue the holiday spirit.  So now we've put the Christmas decorations back and getting ready for 2024 in earnest.

Reeve's Departure

 Reeve also headed back to university and his semester.  So fabulous to have him here, and great to catch up on so many wonderful experiences from his past semester.  Now back to Case for his final year. 

Sadly, this may be the last time that Reeve and Juvy can be together.  She's added so so so much to our family, and it will be hard to say goodbye - though for most of us, we have several more months.

Sad Goodbyes

 Gabi had an early morning flight, so we got up before 5 am to see her off to the airport.  So, so, so fabulous to have her together for such a wonderful time - and to have the family back together. Sad, as always, to say goodbye. 

More Games

 Good to have the chance to play games while we can, as most of our board game collection sits pretty dormant for most of the year. 

Reeve Out

 Reeve and Marilyn also got some good food and nice times together. 

Time Together

 Gabi and Rania got to spend much of the day together, including with some lunch plans before Gabi spent more time with friends.   Some nice pictures from the the day.

Damage

 Unfortunately, the water damage still has some unslightly views.  Hope that can get fixed quickly. 

While we absolutely love our place, the poor plumbing that was put in during installation sure causes some large headaches. 

Gabi Out

 Gabi had the chance to head out and enjoy some of her favorite places in KL, enjoying meeting Ciara and having a nice evening together. 

Settlers of Catan, Seafarers

 After the delightful evening at Tamarind Springs, we managed to get most of us to play a fun game together - this time with the seafarers edition. 

Good challenges and quite a bit of fun. 

Tamarind Springs

 Before everyone scatters, we decided to enjoy a nice meal all together at Tamarind Springs.  In addition to the delicious food, we walked around some of the beautiful grounds to get some photos. 

Good to be together, chatting, laughing, and sharing memories and experiences. 

Haircut

 Before the return to university, Marilyn graciously agreed to cut Reeve's hair.  Much better!
