A great evening to cheer on Ethan as part of the Maumee youth league baseball team.
The three siblings, complete with a prominent shadow from the selfie.
Go Nationals! (Ethan's team this year.)
The Wanderings of Doug, Tracy, Reeve, Gabi and Rania Woodward
Wednesday traditions at the Silver Spring Woodwards are the chance to try some new meals, compliments of the Wednesday recipes from the Washington Post - and Micah being the chef.
My compliments to the chef! Impressive work, beautiful presentation, and delicious food.
Mark got some great tickets via the Washington Post discounts to see the Nationals. Always such a delight in such a beautiful ballpark.
Doug will be spending four days at the IFSEL summer symposium at the Potomac School in McLean, Virginia - so a bit of driving around the beltway makes for hopefully easier (and more fun) accommodations than in a hotel.
The Maumee Library is certainly one of our favorite places to hang out. . .even if the (new to us) garden area photo below may appear a wee-bit posed.
Good chance to get together at Grandpa Barrie's, with everyone bringing some food and pitching in. Of course, the hanging out at the lake while doing some catching -er, uh, fishign is always a success - and the food and the patio are big wins.
Nothing like the perfect June afternoon to enjoy time at Freeze Daddy's. Oh, the ice cream isn't too bad either.
Upon arrival, we were appreciative of a bit of food -and a chance to celebrate Carrie's birthday! Happy Birthday - and wonderful for summer to be starting.
We had a drop-off in Amsterdam - with Doug and Rania leaving the airport - Doug just temporarily - so that Rania could spend a few days with her friend, Livia. Pretty exciting to be able to experience a bit more of Dutch life.
No matter how we buy the tickets, it is certainly a long flight.
With the departure for the US, we had out negative covid shots - only to realize (the next day) that the US suddenly announced they are no longer requiring those for arrival in the States. Yes! That will be a welcome thing to eliminate from travel planning!
The KLYS got together, as is tradition, for a meal at the Steak Shack at Suzy's Corner. What a great group - and some goodbyes with Maia and some others departing.
Some great pictures from Gabi with her friends on one of the final days in KL (before heading to college).
