Five Guys

Pretty exciting that Five Guys is available in Malaysia!  Pretty fun day - with absolutely amazing burgers and milkshakes after church today.

 

Sunset Watercolors

Wow!  What an amazing treat - with the banana leaf food, water colors and a delightful time with some friends.  These were our winnings from bidding at ISKL Celebrates last month - and what an amazing job Meg, Will, and Vicki (and many students) did to put it all together.  A fun evening with delicious food and good company.  And wow- what an amazing art team!

 

Get Together

 With Livia in town, her parents generously invited many to come and enjoy a rooftop time with drinks and snacks.  It was pretty awesome!  So fun to see the girls together -and the adults enjoyed a good time too. 

Choir Concert

 Gabi and ISKL Singers were still required to wear masks -and had the chance to perform as part of their concert opportunities.

Gabi introduced the final song, Sing Gently by Erik Whitaker, seen now as a tribute to getting on the downside of the pandemic.

Great to not be having a virtual concert, even if we can't have a normal energy of a packed house.

Easter Ice Cream

After a wonderful Easter service at HTBB, we enjoyed some extra big ice cream cones at Lot 10.  Great to have Livia staying with us!

 

Gathering for Livia

 So fun to see Livia together with so many friends.  After the big surprise, it was great to see the fun the girls were having being reunited.  What an amazing experience and great group.

Saturdays

 Saturdays are a bit different than the rest of the week.  In the mornings, often a chance to relax, perhaps connect with family members in different time zones and have a quieter pace. Ordering Grab food for evening meal is becoming a frequent Saturday tradition.

Roller Skating

Gabi enjoyed a fun time with Ciara (and her helper's daughter) roller skating.  Some great pictures from their fun time.

 

Return to KL

After a successful and interesting time of learning with Days 1-4 of Cognitive Coaching, it was a short flight back to KL.  Great to be home and thankful for such rich experiences.

Gabi Inducted into NHS

 Gabi was inducted into NHS.  Unfortunately, gatherings are still not permitted, so it was conducted via Zoom.  Here is the video - at least as long as it remains active. Congrats!

Singapore Flyer

 In the distance, you can see some of the Singapore skyline and the Singapore flyer.  I was able to navigate the required PCR test for re-entry to Malaysia - and thankfully a negative test means a lot still these days. 

Street Art

 Ochan's brother, who lives in Singapore, met us in a neat area of town.  Nice to walk around and experience some new food and new opportunities.  The street art is also always a highlight.

Singapore CC

 Doug made it to Singapore for some Cognitive Coaching practice for Days 1-4.  Fortunately, there were back-to-back events and SAS was very generous, given my inability to fly last week.  Got to the airport and the necessary Singapore entry forms were not valid, nor were being processed as those were ending on April 1.  Fortunately, I was able to change flights and successfully make it.
