MS Classroom

Time for transitions and planning for what comes next, including some pictures and glimpses into a MS Humanities classroom.

Getting ready for the transitions, including the hope that next year will be more a more normal school year?  One can hope, right?

Goodbye, Livia

The end of the school year is always bittersweet because it means that some are leaving and departing.  This year, Rania is losing one of her very good friends, Livia, who will be returning to the Netherlands.

Hopefully, they will have the chance to connect again in the coming years - and know that there are lots of friendships that can remain and continue to flourish.

We'll miss you, Livia!

Twin Towers

It always is impressive to look up and see the KL skyline.  The Twin Towers are certainly such an impressive structure and architectural beauty.  Here was a view from Friday!

Reeve is Home!

Reeve escaped his 14-day quarantine, and was able to do several of his finals from his hotel room.  He had a pretty chill time, with lots of netflix and TV watching.  GREAT to have him back home and to have our family reunited, as it has been nearly a year, since Reeve graduated and the family departed, that we've been apart.
We're certainly grateful for all that Case Western has done to make such a successful first year of university, and are thankful for his friends and the culmination of a great freshman year of university.

Tracy even made a special cake for him!

Getting a dose for Juvy

The second time was a bit more challenging to try to get an appointment for Juvy, as more slots opened up for the AZ vaccine.  Thankfully, we were able to get one, even if it isn't for more than a month away.

Grateful, again, for the efficiency of the Malaysian health services.

Tasha's Run for Clean Water

Tasha inspired us to do a fun run - 6 km on our own time.  While watching the Blazers in the playoffs, I was Damian Lilliard inspired and ran as fast as I think I've ever run (recently), clocking 6 km in just less than 30 min.  Wow . . .definitely could not have done it without the treadmill keeping me on pace.
That was a good run - and exhausting!

Home on Friday

A selfie, compliments of Gabi with her sister.  There may very well be a really profound and insightful story for this photo; I just don't know what it is.

Happy Friday!

Tracy's jab!

Tracy also got her jab on the same day - with some furious and fortunate clicking last week.  She was at a different venue, though thanks to Grab and efficient travel, it was no problem.

Praise God for the wonders of modern medicine and life-saving potential.

Doug's First Dose!

Doug gets his first dose.  He got an appointment at the Malaysian National University.  It was really quite efficient and effective - and what an impressive organizational feat to get so many jabs into so many arms so quickly.  Wonderful to have this now open to the public.

Thankful and grateful for the efficiency of Malaysia, Khairy Jamaluddin, and the quality of the Health Ministry to provide public health to all in the country.

Of course, MySejahtera updated rather efficiently after the event.

Vaccine Lottery Winners!

It was fast and furious trying to manage the online booking opportunity for MySejahtera and the new portal which is now open to the public on a first-come, first-served AstraZeneca vaccine opportunity.

Definitely don't want to wait - and take the first vaccine you can, recognizing it can be a life saver! Both Tracy and I got appointments for next week - though not at the same place.  Exciting!

Jalan Ampang Hilir

A beautiful clear sky with wispy clouds from right outside our condo, looking toward Tara 33.  Nice to step outside and enjoy the change in weekend routines, often connected with taking dear Chocolate (our dog) for a walk.
