IASAS ISKL v ISM - Day 1
This was a tough loss, as we were in it until the last of the 4th quarter when ISM hit some clutch threes to seal the game. And so proud of Reeve and the team!
IASAS ISKL v ISB - Day 1
Thanks to Mark van Cott, we got some fabulous pictures of the first day. Here are some of them against ISB. We were close at the half and even ahead, but couldn't quite stay with the game in the 4th quarter with a tough loss to start the tournament.
Supporting IASAS Rugby
With IASAS Basketball in Singapore, the girls and the rest of ISKL were cheering on our Rugby and Touch Rugby teams, with ISKL doing the hosting on our beautiful new field. Go Panthers!
The SAS Scoreboard
This was the dramatic game where we pulled away in dramatic fashion in the 3rd and start of the 4th quater (ISKL is the home team) before holding on with a desperate SAS rally at the end. We may not get a shot at the championship, and we know we deserve to be in that game as much as anyone. Just need to work on the consistency. We're thinking of making shirts for Singapore as a gift. "First in IASAS, but Second on the Peninsula."

A View From the Balcony
From the ES wing overlooking the turf fields, it is clear when the afternoon thunderstorms might start rolling in.

Rania's Agency Dance Video
For agency as part of 7th grade, Rania and her good friend, Ceci, did some contemporary dance. Here is an excerpt from her performance showcase.
Adaptive Schools
Rami and I had the chance to co-present for the first time, something that went incredibly well, and we greatly enjoyed having a nice cohort from Concordia come and enjoy the rich content from Dr. Bob Garmston and Bruce Wellman, the authors of the Adaptive Schools work. A great four days!

A Commissioned Painting!
So wonderful to have the painting that we started from the beginning of the year done. Such beauty and a great addition to my office. Thanks, Emily, for the incredible art work - and look forward to lots more artistic beauty in the coming years.

ISKL Championship
In preparation for IASAS, Reeve's basketball team got to host the championship - I think this is the ISAC Championship, which wasn't much of a competition - and is certainly something worth celebrating as ISKL was way better than any of the other teams - and such an improvement from previous years.
An ISKL Celebration
Grade 8 Immigration Simulation
As part of the intro to the Grade 8 unit, I got to practice my bits of German, Arabic or Spanish as I interrogated the Grade 8 students on their stories based on their bios as they tried to make their way through the immigration challenges to make it to the Promised Land. A fun simulation - and a bit too much power!

The MS Office
Since this is an area where I generally start and finish my work day - and hopefully spend much more time in classes than elsewhere, it is good to see the office and such great space. And what a fabulous job Ms. Vicki does!

The Field
So great to return from break and get to see the field and the track nearly done. We need to let the grass settle a bit longer before going on it - and in addition to its great functionality, it is nice to have some green in the view.
Beautiful!

KL Dragons & A Dramatic Finish
Reeve and Doug had the chance to go to the basketball arena and enjoy a Westsports KL Dragons game vs. the team from Manila. It was pretty impressive to see the size and skill of some of the players. KL managed quite an upset - with a one-point win. One of the players from Manila, a 7' 2" center sure was quite the sight.
