Twister

It was a fun sleepover, with both Gabi and Rania having friends over for the evening, so when Twister was pulled out (remembering Rania's Halloween costume), some who were younger were far more flexible than the others!

Birthday Treat!

With a stop at Baskin Robbins, it was a celebration for an ice cream cake to celebrate the long weekend when we could celebrate Gabi's birthday . . .for such a festive cake, it should do to keep the birthday tradition alive!

Other Woodward Family Picture

Getting a family picture of the Mekele Woodwards.  Which works best?

Putting Up The Tree

So great to have help when we were putting up our tree.  As always, it is wonderful to pick out the ornaments and get to relive the memories and put them on the tree.  And so great to have extra help with getting the tree balanced, putting together the lights and making sure everything looks like Christmas

.  Yea!

The Bakers

Yes, Gabi was the leader, but there were some wonderful helpers in creating such a delicious treat for the Woodward clan.

Cinnamon Rolls

YUM!  Gabi made some cinnamon  rolls for us to enjoy.  What a delicious treat!

After Church

After church, we went to the Pavilion (of course!) and ate at Taste of Honey before getting a group shot - a good idea before everyone leaves.  Should have thought of that earlier!

Suzy's Corner

Of course, we also had to take the Mekele Woodwards to Suzy's Corner and show them the way to eat the delicious steaks. Throw in some pizza, fruit juices and it was good food for all.

Buzzer Beater

Reeve played a couple of games on Saturday and it was fun to get to watch his team in person.  There were some anxious fans as the game went down to the wire.  It was a three-pointer at the buzzer that brought victory to the home Panthers.  What a great game and fantastic finish.

Bedroom AND Gameroom?

Doubling as both a bedroom for two boys as well as the place to even old Wii rivalries, the TV room has had a unique makeover during the past week.

ISKL Thanksgiving

One of the great traditions is the ISKL Thanksgiving, which the middle school has opened to everyone.  It is always a fun (and delicious) event full of amazing food.  It was fun for Alex and Dawn, who were in Addis for years before coming to KL to meet and talk with Mark and Marta, including a few Amharic words and phrases.  Always a great and fun event reminding us of how special community is.

Grimm's Tales Videos

We've now received the recordings of Grimm Tales.

Guessing that this is only viewable from within ISKL - though for the record, here is the link to the video of the performance.

Roti & Coca Cola

The Mekele Woodwards went out exploring and came back with . . .well, the picture speaks for itself.

Pavilion Christmas Decorations

Here is our first glimpse of the Pavilion's Christmas decorations.  Always spectacular.

Mekele Woodwards!

So, so, so, so wonderful to have the Mekele Woodwards visiting KL as part of a SE Asia tour.  We're thrilled that they were able to make it - and excited about spending a week with them as they get to tour and explore Kuala Lumpur - and have a little jaunt to Langkawi.

Among our first stops (besides Rania's play, of course), it was a trip to Pavilion, Din Tai Fung and some delicious dumplings. (We're also excited to have Reeve back from Jakarta imminently!)

Closing Night

So wonderful to get to watch Rania's show again.  Another great (and fun) performance with an amazing set. After the show, Auntie Marta and Uncle Mark made sure that there were some flowers for the great performer!

Exchange Day 2

We got some more pictures from Reeve's Exchange in Jakarta.  Some great shots, and the team seems much improved from last year.

Grimm's Tales

Here are some of the pictures from Rania's part in the production of Grimm's Tales - she was in the Golden Goose and had a lot of fun!

Jakarta Exchange - Opening Day

Reeve was off to Jakarta for the basketball exchange.  Some great pictures came back in as the Varsity Panthers team competed against some of the other IASAS competition.

A quick shot, captured by the yearbook staff, of Doug making an announcement at an assembly.

Halloween Celebration

It never fails to amaze that in Malaysia - at least the ISKL version - that some parents can decide which day is best for the kids to get a sugar high.

It was the same costumes as for the dress-up day.

Spirit Week Competition

To kick off the Spirit Week festivities, Doug and Peter had to run the obstacle course - with a fair bit of silliness and ending with the final finish of the slip 'n slide.

It starts with some Jeopardy in the Fitness Room.
