MS Open House

With our first big parent meeting, the Middle School Open House, Peter and I restructured our Open House Presentation.  Nicely dressed up for the big presentation.

It went over pretty well, and thanks to the amazing teachers we have, it was a very positive evening. 

Stalls Night

One of the fun traditions at ISKL is Stalls Night, which occurs after the first payday of the year.  With lots of great traditional Malaysian food (the lamb is especially popular), it is a fun time to get together with our colleagues and celebrate the start of the school year.

Passport Photos

Time to get some passports renewed.  So time to get out the handy-dandy printer and create our own passport photos. . .and a trip the Embassy for new passports.  Here are the originals before editing.

(Thanks to the Department of State, there is a nice new cropper that makes it much easier to get the right proportions. . .at least compared to the last time we did this.)

 

New Position - Assistant Principal

Doug is now in a new position at ISKL, as the middle school interim assistant principal. Part of that job includes the running of faculty meetings, hence the pictures here.  Excited about new opportunities for a new year.

In an attempt to find Tracy's author photo for her profile, we tried a few black and white and a few snapshots.  Not quite right yet; keep looking to try to find the best picture.  What was not mentioned, was while we were at SunRiver, Tracy got offer of representation from an agent for her novel!  What amazing news.  So excited for what will come next!
