Chaperone the MPO? Yes!

With another chance to accompany the MS Band students, who were getting to listen to the MPO's superheroes themed music, it was a delightful way to spend a Sunday afternoon.  Great music.  Superheroes.  Entertaining hosts.  An afternoon well-spent.

Decorations at the Pavilion

For Chinese New Year (and most holidays), the malls have quite the decorations.  We've found that it is quite difficult to get parking spaces, especially on weekends or after church in the few weeks before Chinese New Year.  But now that things are a bit quieter, we had a chance to see some of the big decorations as we celebrate the new lunar year.

U-15 Basketball

For the final tournament, Reeve's U-15 basketball team had quite the run.  They went through the round-robin undefeated.  In one of several closely contested games, they were behind to Dalat when Reeve caught fire, scoring several baskets to go from behind 4 to up by 6, a dramatic 10-point swing.  His defense, his three pointers, and his driving to the lane were all the difference in some big games.

Unfortunately, despite defeating JIS in the round-robin, they fell to Jakarta in the final rematch, as their shots were not falling despite some good looks.  Congratulations, Panthers on a great season!

Gabi Basketball Tournament

Gabi's team participated in the U-13 basketball tournament.  What a fun experience with quite a bit of growth and improvement throughout the season.

Adaptive Schools

It was a highlight to get to begin the process of becoming an Adaptive Schools Trainer.  With the opportunity to observe Jane Ellison's masterful approach to the weekend, it was pretty cool to be interacting with such powerful educational ideas.

The 7 Norms of Collaboration activity had some clever interpretations. . .with "Norm" from Cheers

MPO Chaperone

One of the perks of being a teacher is the occasional "need" to help supervise the students when they visit the MPO.  It is always fun to get to hear some spectacular music while "helping out."  Not much work for some pretty high quality music.
