Soccer + Volleyball Tournament

For the third weekend in a row, there was a soccer tournament at ISKL.  Reeve participated in three soccer games in the morning before heading straight to the gym for some volleyball, where they ended up with 3rd place medals - pretty impressive for the younger ISKL team!

With Tracy still gone for GAP, the girls had the chance to hang out at school, watch some soccer, but mostly hang out in the pool, where Cristina was also swimming.  We all had a delightful day at school, with so much happening, it ended up being a long fun day at school.  Kudos to the amazing MS activities program! Another busy, but fun Saturday - and looking forward to Tracy's return!

Grade 3 Performance Pix

Rania had a nice role in the Grade 3 performance that highlighted the School-wide Learning Results (SLRs), as she was the mother of a prospective family that came to see the SLRs in action during the school tour.  She definitely looked great and did a super job in the play!

GAP in Nepal

From Saturday to Saturday, Tracy went to Nepal for a combination of hiking in the Himalayas and service projects in Kathmandu.  It was quite an intense week with some rigorous hiking.  The service projects were inspiring, and the group was truly great.  Here are a handful of the pictures taken from the trip.

Reeve to Dalat; Soccer @ ISKL

Reeve had the choice between going to Dalat for Volleyball (a 5 hour bus ride and overnight trip) or staying for a soccer tournament.  He decided that the volleyball trip might be a great experience, and he had fun with his roommates and a good time with his teammates.

Meanwhile, Doug coached at ISKL for the soccer teams  (pictured left) on a busy Saturday.  The girls had the chance to hang out at school for some of the time, as Tracy was off to GAP, with an epic trip to Nepal with some high school students.

KLIFF hike

One of the things we enjoy about St. Andrews Presbyterian Church is the group of KLIFF (Kuala Lumpur International Family Fellowship) Hangers, as was originally named.

We decided to take advantage of a mid-week holiday to go for a hike right near school.  It is a short, but steep hike up the creek to the reservoir.  We had a nice group, and then a lot of fun playing in the water on our way out.  We finished the afternoon with a meal at Na'an Corner, with some nice stall food.

Friday Night Lights

One of the fun traditions for MS Soccer is the Friday Night Lights, when a number of teams are invited, and the athletes get to play against a number of other teams.  Reeve got to play a number of games on a day that coincided with the first MS Party (games and MS dance).  He had a really fun, but definitely exhausting day - with great experiences.

Birthday

It was fun to celebrate a birthday, with nice gifts and hugs from the family.  What a tremendous blessing to be surrounded by family and get to have the chance to celebrate special times with loved ones.
