CNY Swim Party

As part of a low-key Chinese New Year, we had a nice little gathering at the Inskeeps for some fun in the pool. Compliments of Brian (with help from Daisy), there were also hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, veggies, and great food to add to the great fun.

With how hot it has been, it was also the perfect way to escape the heat.

Aquaria

Kuala Lumpur has a delightful aquarium. It won't rival some of the great aquariums of the world, but does have a rotating walkway that takes you through a tunnel underneath a slew of sharks, rays, turtles and gorgeous tropical fish.

Before Tracy's mom departed, we took the family for an evening at the Aquaria, and had fun watching the beautiful fish. In addition to the huge tank, they also have a bunch of little tanks that provide a nice perspective on individual fish, frogs, snakes, and other tropical critters.

Thailand

Tracy and her mom had a wonderful weekend in Phuket, Thailand. I'm sure that they can add more details, but luxurious accommodations, fresh fruit juices, Thai massages, dinners on the beach, and delicious meals were all part of the fun.

The Bird Park

The Bird Park in Kuala Lumpur is one of our favorite places to go. But with school in session, Doug's dad played tour guide so Julie and Rania could make a trip to the bird park.

Of course, the obligatory photo op was part of the fun.

Home Sweet Home

We haven't ever sufficiently provided pictures of our abode -- but thanks to Julie's eyes and a new perspective on our lives, here is Rania playing in our house. . .

Okay, so our house is a bit bigger than that :)

Fish Spa & KL

Of course, we wanted to take Julie to the fish spa -- but after a bit of having the tiny fish nibble on her toes, she opted for the massage part of the spa instead of the fish part of the spa.

And a view of KL from the abode of Doug's parents.

Soccer & Van Lady

Doug gets to coach Reeve's soccer team, and we are off to a fun start of the young season. Since this photo was taken, Reeve is on a three game scoring run, having scored a goal in each of the last three games. It is fun to be coaching the 2nd & 3rd graders.
After we got home, Julie loved seeing one of our great perks -- Awa, the van lady delivering groceries right to our door.

Horray! Tracy's mom visits!

We are now officially WAY behind on the blog -- but what an amazing two weeks we had when Tracy's mom came and visit. We'll try to catch up on some of the fun!

It was great to have Julie here, and she even came bearing gifts -- Puma Girl Shirts for the girls!
