Grandpa's Birthday

How exciting to be able to celebrate grandpa's birthday with him! So after an exciting day on Thursday (Read all about Gabi's fun day riding horses. And Reeve had a field trip AND swimming for PE AND Tae-kwon-do.), we got to have a wonderful dinner with grandpa and grandma.

Happy birthday grandpa!

Fish Spa

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2009

After church, we went down the street to the fancy Pavilion mall -- where we stopped in at the Fish Spa. There was a family special. The adults got half hour shoulder massages (horray!) and the kids got 30 minutes in the "fish spa."

The fish spa allows you to stick your feet in the water and all of these tiny fish come and nibble on your skin. In theory, this removes the dead skin, and makes everything smooth and fresh. There were two pools -- one with tiny fish that just kind of tickle your feet -- and another with slightly larger fish that give a little nibble.

Rania quickly decided this was not for her -- and spent the time wandering around -- mostly near her parents. But Reeve and Gabi loved the experience -- and were eager for another trip to the fish spa.

Pigtail Girls

Juvy, our wonderful amah, does an amazing job with the girls. One of the neat things we see is a variety of hair styles in our girls. Pigtails are fun - especially when they are on horses (of course!)

Facial Hair Silliness

As a bit of silliness, most of the male teachers at ISKL grew mustaches in honor of our Superintendent. Over Christmas, Paul Chmelik grew a mustache. While he was away recruiting for two weeks, the challenge went out to grow a mustache.

Hence, the beard, then the goatee, and then for one ridiculous day -- the mustache.

Olympic Diving

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2009

In an amazing feat of Woodwardian excellence, the Woodward family actually did more than one thing in a day. Times Square (which was after church) was followed by naps, and then a trip to the grandparents pad for some swimming.

Reeve hooked up his Olympic diving board (a beach chair), and did some world-class twists and turns.

Times Square Amusement Park

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2009

After church, we took a short drive to Times Square, the huge shopping mall with an indoor amusement park. While the roller coaster was too much for our little ones, we sure had fun. Rania laughed and laughed and laughed as they went on the swinging boat as their first ride -- and the reaction of the three kids sure made for a fun afternoon.

They got to ride on the swinging boat, the bumper cars, the safari ride, the train, the crazy bus, and a few more fun rides.

Inskeep Fun

It is always fun to have friends over -- and is so worth the fun that we wonder why it doesn't happen more often. As an extra special bonus, Doug got to play Settlers of Catan with Brian and Brenda.

And you bet -- the kids sure had fun together! And the adults also managed to get a game in -- with Brian coming out as the champion.

Horse Crazy

It is no doubt that we live in a house where we have two girls that are crazy about horses! Much time is spent on the floor neighing and jumping and prancing.
